We live in a world of craft beer events from pint nights to festivals. We are surrounded by festivals in the DFW and that is not a bad thing. The latest is put on by Southern Junction and called Spring Hops. The festival is located at the Southern Junction’s newest location in Irving.
This event is focused only on local breweries and highlights some of DFW’s best. With names like Texas Ale Project, TUPPs, and Rabbit Hole Brewing; the festival is shaping up to have a wide range of styles and something for everyone.
Something that separates Spring Hops from other festivals is the limited amount of tickets that are available with only 20 VIP and 500 GA — this is quick to sell out and makes it something that the hardcore craft fans will want to go to, including the “new to the scene” people.
Spring Hops is designed to show people the diversity among local breweries as well as show DFW what Southern Junction has to offer.
For the price of $35, you get to sample every beer from over twenty different local breweries. Your ticket will include a beer passport, souvenir glass, swag bag, and a raffle ticket for prizes.
Spring Hops will feature live music from Local Yoakam and the Missing 3, as well as signature steaks and the famous “all you can eat” Smokin Sunday’s Brisket, ribs, smoked chicken, and local craft beer. Southern Junction has been a staple in the country music scene for over 30 years with their historical location in Royse City. The new location in Irving hopes to continue the tradition in the Metroplex while adding new events like Spring Hops to show that this is more than just an amazing steakhouse and nightclub.
The Irving location already carries local breweries such as Rabbit Hole Brewing, Texas Ale Project, and TUPPs. They continue to expand their support of local breweries, local music, and more. This is the first of two beer events that Southern Junction is doing with Hoptoberfest coming this fall.
