Hailing from Dallas, Grades Of Absolute Truth is a soulful indie hip hop artist who has been writing and creating a unique brand since 2005. The elementary school teacher by day, who released his first album absolute truth in 2006, embeds conscious lyricism, self-awareness, & struggle into every performance.
Grades Of Absolute Truth has shared the stage with nationally touring acts, such as B.o.B, Everlast, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Lupe Fiasco, Bubba Sparxxx, Crazy Town, Shwayze, Paul Wall, Wax, Hopsin, Rittz, Leon Bridges, The Revivalists, Mod Sun, (hed) P.E., & more. Referred to as the illegitimate child of promiscuous genres, G.O.A.T. pulls inspiration from Brother Ali, Cee-Lo, Grieves, Incubus, Counting Crows, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, showing true diversity in his music.
Grades Of Absolute Truth’s most recent release, the senseless ep, explores Justin “G.O.A.T.” Griffith’s experiences during several self-imposed experiments with sensory deprivation. While the EP was entirely produced and written by Griffith and Justin “Double J” Jones, they perform the material with a full band.
